I lived in a world where you had no choices, no control, no say in whom you would marry or even how many kids you would have.

I lived in a world where you were told what to think, to feel, what was fair and where you couldn’t question anything the government did.

Knowledge was sparse everywhere. They liked to keep it that way. We were easier to control. People weren’t allowed to think about what was happening or what exactly our government was getting away with.

If we thought differently than the government, they would make sure to send us to re-education camps. You were force-fed nonstop propaganda that wasn’t even close to being true and you weren’t allowed to leave until they had turned you into a mindless zombie.

We wanted to break free! Make our own decisions! Be allowed to have our own thoughts and ideas!

I had a plan to fight back, to show others we could stand up and fight for a better world, a just world and, show everyone that if we stand together, we will accomplish that.

I hoped my plan would be the start of a revolution……
